Aunt Nen Provenance | Classic McCoy Glaze
This vintage McCoy tea service has been part of my family for generations, displayed proudly on the top shelf of Aunt Nen’s sideboard, then passed to my mother, and eventually to my own home — with roots likely tracing back even further to the family farm in New Iberia, Louisiana.
The set includes the teapot with lid, open sugar bowl with handle, and matching creamer, all finished in one of McCoy’s most visually striking glazes. The depth of color and surface detail are exceptional, and it’s long been one of my favorite McCoy patterns for both its warmth and presence.
Like many authentic vintage McCoy pieces, the glaze shows allover crazing, which is typical and expected for pottery of this era and adds to its character. The only noted damage is a small chip on the handle of the creamer, clearly shown in the final photo. Otherwise, the set displays beautifully and remains structurally sound.

Ideal for display in a hutch or sideboard, or for gentle decorative use in a curated vintage kitchen. The glaze and form give this set a strong visual presence even when displayed individually.
Some pieces earn their place in a home not because they’re perfect, but because they’re loved. This McCoy set has followed our family through multiple houses and decades, and it still feels right wherever it lands.
