I’m calling this set a “Glorious Bastard” as it’s a bit of an enigma! It was made in Japan on what appears to be a Scandinavian modern design, yet the tray seems quite traditional. Maybe the tray was not part of the original set? Regardless, the set includes 4 pieces (6 if you count the lids, retail-style!) and is made of brass with teak handles and knobs. The handle is at a 90 degree angle to the spout, making it pour to the side like a Turkish coffee pot- though I’m not sure anyone would make coffee in a brass vessel? It would make a stunning accent in a Japandi dining room on a sleek mid-century buffet. There is one slight dent on the bottom of the coffee pot, but it can only be seen from the bottom; from outside it doesn’t show (see pictures.) I’ve not polished this because I think many will appreciate the patina, but if making it shine will encourage you to buy it, I’ll be glad to polish before shipping- just let me know! Carafe is 9.5″ tall; tray is 14″ by 11″.
